Have you ever scrolled through Pinterest boards or Etsy shops and been ASTOUNDED at how much a simple sign can cost? I was there too! Every wedding is a bit different, but for our wedding we needed FOUR "Signature Drink" Signs, a sign for favors, a sign for Flip-Flops, a sign for the exit-gift/"Recovery Kits", and a Welcome Sign. Additionally, we needed (wanted, I wanted) a welcome letter with important information, a timeline for guests that were staying in the hotel and a program at the ceremony, and Table Numbers that matched our invitations! With the help of my mother, we realized that between the two of us, we can make every single one of these signs in the comfort of our own home AND we can control the prices! While some we did wind up finding clearance mirrors and sheets of glass, most of these I designed and printed at home while my mom jazzed up $1 picture frames from the Dollar Tree!
How can Nicole & Dimed Help you create this look?
As you know, N&D offers COMPLETE customization and creativity to ANY ideas you have, or don't have! We will work with you every step of the way and help you discover ideas or preferences that you didn't even know you had.
With us, you have three options when it comes to Print-at-Home signs/stationary.
Package 1: The Basic - We design the literature that you need, email it to you, you print at home and do with it what you want! You can follow our DIY tips at the bottom of this article to beautify frames or even put it in a frame that you already have! If you have a specific frame that you would like to display at your special event, all you have to do is send us the dimensions and we will create a look that fits it perfectly.
Package 2: The Training Wheels - We design the literature and print for you and ship it to your location. This option is ideal for those who do not have access to a printer or feel weary about sifting through all of the different preferences that print stores offer. With this option, you still are able to design your own frames at home or use ones that you already have!
Package 3: The Many Hats - With this option, we do EVERYTHING for you! We design, we print, we frame, we ship! Some people simply cannot craft or have no interest in it; and that's fine! I have planned many parties, I know that sometimes it is just easier to have things done for you. While this is our most expensive option, our costs are still far lower than any competitors because we pride ourselves in finding the best quality items for the lowest price. (but if you want us to spend top dollar, we GLADLY will ;) ) You can look at our frames and tell us which ones you would like, if you would like one of our frames with some customizing, or we can work together to invent something completely new and never seen! The best part of our jobs is being able to invent something new!
What Sort of Things Can I Print-at-Home?
Tons! Invitations, Miscellaneous Signage, Welcome Letters, Seating Charts, Programs, Table Numbers, Favor Labels, "Reserved" Signs, Water Bottle Labels, you name it! If it's not on this list, don't worry, we always have room to. add stuff to our repertoire!
We also offer SVG/cut files that can be emailed to you to cut out on your Cricut OR we can mail you a decal that is cut, weeded, and ready to adhere to any surface.
How Can I DIY This?
If I Chose Option 1 or Option 2:
SO SIMPLE!
Step 1: We email the literature to you and you print (Photo 1) or we ship to you
Step 2: You cut along the thin blue line (Photo 2)
Step 3: You place it in a frame!
The images shown below are from my wedding. I used the same font on the title as I did for most of my stationary including my invitations! I also made sure our logo was in the background and I came up with the punny names for our drinks!
Remember, when I say we offer COMPLETE customization for your event, I MEAN it!

DIY Frames:
The sky is the limit when it comes to gluing things on a picture frame.
Idea 1: Glitter! Buy a frame, paint Mod Podge or any glue you prefer where you want the glitter to go, pour glitter, remove excess by standing up and lighting tapping the edge on the table, let dry for a half our to an hour, and repeat the process once more! Add Mod Podge at the end to seal everything in.
Idea 2: Fairy lights! SUPER easy. Glue or tape your battery pack to the back, keep wrapping the lights around the frame, securing using tape or glue dots at the corners!
Idea 3: Found clearance ribbon at Michael's and glued around the edges!

What if I just want a basic frame but don't want it to look too lame or blah?
Not a problem! I would recommend buying a bigger frame and adding a mat-board to border it in. If you do not have a mat-board or are looking for the cheapest way to accomplish a more sophisticated look, use construction paper! Cut out the dimensions of your work that is to be framed and layer it on top of the work!
